History
EOS Remediation provides effective, easy to use products for in situ remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater. We work with nature to accelerate natural attenuation processes to degrade or immobilize contaminants, reducing costs and speeding site closure. Founded in 2002 by a team of scientists and engineers, EOS Remediation is based in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, and is recognized worldwide for development of effective technologies for in situ remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater.
With support from the US Air Force and SERDP & ESTCP, our team developed an approach to stimulate the anaerobic biodegradation of chlorinated solvents, explosives and propellants, chromium, uranium, and other oxidized pollutants using emulsified vegetable oil (EVO) as a long-lasting, slow-release substrate. Our technology has been used to successfully restore contaminated aquifers at thousands of sites throughout North and South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. Our work is supported by rigorous laboratory and field research, and has been documented in numerous scientific journals, patents, protocols, regulatory documents, design tools, and computer models, making our emulsified vegetable oil products the most-tested and accredited option available. EOS Remediation continues this effort, developing new products and processes to improve the performance of existing technologies, and treat new, emerging contaminants.
EOS Remediation offers a range of products to enhance in situ remediation processes:
- Electron Donors for Chlorinated Solvents, Energetics (perchlorate, TNT, RDX, etc.) & Other Recalcitrant Compounds
- Electron Acceptors for Hydrocarbons from Manufacturing & Petroleum
- Abiotic Amendments for Metals Stabilization, pH Optimization, & DNAPL Remediation
- Bioaugmentation Cultures for Low Native Microbe Populations
We ship from manufacturing facilities across the United States and in Europe for reduced shipping costs, increased sustainability, and improved flexibility. Our third-party manufacturing partners add an additional level of quality control – each batch undergoes rigorous testing at the facility before shipment and EOS Remediation performs confirmatory analysis on retains from every batch in our laboratory.
EOS Remediation’s technical support provides the critical bridge between our research, products, and field implementation. Our engineers and scientists are helpful and responsive, often assisting in designing client projects or participating in on-site consultations. The quality of our client support and our commitment to a quick response is unmatched. We are driven by three distinguishing factors – superior science and engineering, responsive customer service, which includes fair pricing, and our desire to help the environment.
Intellectual Property
Information about our science, performance, ease of use, cost effectiveness and on-site success has been validated by the research arm of the U.S. Department of Defense, documented in numerous papers and published in more than 200 scientific publications, making our products the most-tested, researched and accredited options available. We hold US and international patents for in situ remediation technologies for treatments of a wide variety of contaminants.
